Tranmere Rovers Football Club can confirm the retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.
The following players remain in contract for the 2024/25 campaign: Luke McGee, Joe Murphy, Lee O'Connor, Tom Davies, Connor Wood, Brad Walker, Regan Hendry, Josh Hawkes, Kieron Morris, Harvey Saunders, Sam Taylor, Kristian Dennis and Connor Jennings, while Jordan Turnbull's contract has been extended by a year after the defender met a contractual stipulation and the Club has activated its option to retain Chris Merrie for another season.
The Club is in discussions with Luke Norris regarding a new contract.
The following players will return to their parent Clubs following the end of their loan spells at Prenton Park: Rob Apter, James Norris and Jake Leake.
The following players will depart the Club following the end of their contract: Jean Belehouan, Mikey Davies, Ben Hockenhull, Rhys Hughes, Charlie Jolley, Ousmane Kane, Luis Lacey, Paul Lewis, Reece McAlear, Dan Pike, Conor Robson, Joe Starbuck and Joe Yarney.
Manager Nigel Adkins said: “I’d like to thank all those players who are leaving us and wish them the best of luck for the future.
“We’ve got a group of players we know can do well in this division next season already on board but with scope to bring 9-10 players in over the summer as well to get to the group of 25 that I’m looking for. That takes time but we’re in a good position to start off and there’s vision to bring some good players in who will help boost the squad.”
