Pre-Match Micky Mellon (Maidenhead United)

Manager looks ahead to tonight’s National League game

Micky Mellon says he and his team need to build on the momentum gained from James Norwood’s 94th minute winner on Saturday against Barrow.

That goal gave Rovers a much needed three points and the manager is looking to build on that result and put a number of victories back-to-back, starting at Maidenhead United this evening.

He said: “We have to, we’ve been saying that all along. We know that, it’s not any great news to us – we knew were playing under this set of expectations.

We know we have to get results, that’s not a problem, we can deal with that, that’s what happens when you manage or play at a club like Tranmere.

“The expectations are there and, as long as they stay realistic, I have no problem with it.

“We know we have to get results, we’re quite prepared to accept that, and we’re prepared to go out and fight to try and get the results.”

If you’re not able to make it to Maidenhead this evening, the Club has its usual live match commentary service available online for free (no subscription needed) via the tranmererovers.co.uk home page or www.mixlr.com/tranmere-rovers or the Mixlr app on Android and iOS.
