Rhys Hughes is a Welsh-born talent who started his football journey in Everton's youth setup at the age of six.

Born on September 21st, 2001, he displayed exceptional dedication to both his studies and the sport, with his impressive performances leading to him sign a two-and-a-half-year professional contract in January 2020.

During the 2019-20 season, he showcased his ability by scoring three goals and providing six assists in fifteen league games for the Under-18 team. At the campaign's end, he was promoted to Everton's Under-23 team, earning accolades like the Keith Tamlin Award.

In June 2022, Hughes made the move to Prenton Park, signing a two-year contract. He quickly adapted to the team's style and made his debut in an EFL Cup match against Accrington Stanley, with his first goal for Tranmere following in an EFL Trophy match against Leeds United U23 that October.  He enjoyed a successful loan spell at Chester in early 2023, and joined Curzon Ashton on loan in November of the same year.

His excellent passing range and accurate set-pieces make him a promising asset for the Rovers squad.
